Hi!

Where the heck have i been??  Apparently slacking on my blogging duties is what i have been doing lately!  These past two months have been super busy i feel!  Yet, i feel also that i cant even say what ive done with my time.  whoops.  It just seems in between the business of a normal day, sometimes updating a blog is the very last thing i want to do.  But alas, i apparently feel up to the task today!  So, here we go!

I really feel that penny's personality has come out lately.  She makes us laugh so hard! (and can be a total sass too...but thats another conversation...)

 Tom got this 4-wheeler for penny for christmas..this is the most she's been on it.  wants nothing to do with it!

 Happy birthday to me!...a month and a half ago.  whoops.  (why does my kid not have a shirt on??)

 The day after my birthday, my parents, tom, penny and i took a LONG road trip down to gulf shores, alabama.  it was such a good time!  it was amazing having an entire week with my husband!  It was a super relaxing, laid back trip...every day we picked shells on the beach, took naps, ate WAY too much fried food, and actually went to bed earlier than what we normally do weeknights at home.

 penny wanted to be just like grandma and aunt nancy...dig and dig and dig for shells.

 we had a couple of days where the weather didnt permit us to go to the beach so we took advantage of the condo's pool and hot tub.  penny was not super excited about it the 1st time we went in it...the 2nd time was way better.

 we also went and visited fort morgan on a non-beach friendly day.  it was pretty cool walking through part a historical landmark of our country!

 apparently minnie mouse wanted to tour ft. morgan too.

 back at home...meals have been a challenge for us lately.  the only way i can get penny to hold still long enough to eat is to bribe her with toys.  

 Happy Easter!  My little girl is getting so big...she will turn 2 in a few short weeks!

Hope things has been well for everyone!  We have just a short 6 weeks until our baby boy will be here...ahhhh!  we have been busy getting his room ready and starting on clearing out a room in the basement to turn into a play area.  You never realize how much "junk" you have until you're welcoming another person into your house.  So much to do, so little time...and energy.

How about straight into pictures?!  Being as its winter here in nebraska, i feel we hardly leave the house except to go to the grocery store and grandma and grandpa's house.  (not complaining about the 2nd part of that statement!)  so what is a mom to do with her 20 month old?...

On friday of this past week, the weather gave us a big enough warming up so my mom and i took penny to the zoo.  it was awesome!  so nice to get outside...this little girl loved it!

 these 5 baby lions (i'll take 1 at a time, thank you very much!) were born december 29th.  seriously, so cute.  can i just take one home if it stays this small??

oh, also a little update from baby #2 that is on the way...

-HE is due may 15th.

-he was a super calm baby up until a couple weeks ago...now he kicks ALL the time.

-makes me crave pickles, toasted blueberry bagels and all things salty.

-and is already making me too big for some of my maternity shirts.  (oh no, i still have FOUR months to go!)
