3 Months

Sorry, i'm so far behind of my blog updates!  It seems that when i get my pictures downloaded to the computer and open the internet...penny will start crying.  Lately we have been working on self soothing.  She's getting a little better each day but still really wants to nap with me.  Note to all expecting mothers: start your baby out by taking naps on their own right away!!!  Its so cute to hold penny while she's asleep but now she's totally addicted to it.  great.  oops.  its literally been something i pray about every day...momma's gotta get things done around the house!!
Lately life around the house has been wonderful though.  Tom works so much and so hard.  Penny is 13 weeks now and officially 3 months old today! Crazy! Every month i think, "i cant believe i've kept her alive! I cant hardly keep plants alive!" Haha.  When Penny turned 10 weeks old, Tom and I made the decision that i am going to be a full time stay at home wife and mommy.  A very hard decision to make but very rewarding.  Like i said, tom works SO hard to be able to provide this for our family.  Before Penny was born, i was literally checking our bank account online all the time.  It was an obsession for me, a very bad obsession that often brought stress to not only myself but stress to tom and i's marriage.  The day before i delievered penny was literally the last time i checked our account!  Trust me, i have thought about it but i have just decided that God doesnt want me to and its just a way for me to be pulled down.  Also, i trust my husband that he obviously knows what he's doing and will handle things just fine.  He will be honest with me...if i need to go back to work, he will let me know.  So that is another thing i pray for a lot is that i just learn to relax and hand over my anxiety of the checking account.
Anyway...enough of my blah blah blah...here are some pictures of our cutie-pa-tootie!

Our neighbor (also named Renee...such a great neighbor to have! Our lives are freakish-ly similar.  She and i both drive big black SUV's, we both worked for the same employer but at different times, we both had girls within 8 days of each other...yeah i could keep going...) invested in a blow up swimming pool for their yard.  P and i stopped on over on the 4th of July...turns out the water was freezing and only my feet got in!  But P sure looked cute in her juicy swimsuit!

This is what Penny thought of the pool...zzzzzzz...

Penny in her bumbo! She's so tiny in it! She decided to join us for dinner one night...

A couple weeks ago, we received a new awesome camera!  Its tons-o-fun!  I still have a lot to learn about it, so i apologize, not all of these pics are great...but ive been having fun snapping away!

Little cutie sleeping in her crib...

Ok...enough pictures for now!  I'll post pictures of our 1st family road trip to Denver to visit the Reimers soon!  What am i still doing awake?...am i a crazy person?  Why yes...yes i think i am.  Adios!

Oh happy days...

Sweet baby Penny...
You are growing so fast.  A little too fast.  This coming wednesday, you'll be in the double digits in weeks!  How are you ALREADY going to be 10 weeks??  Its exciting and so fun seeing all the changes in you.  We now get smiles out of you every day and think you might even be close to giving us a little giggle every now and then.  We can hold on "conversations" with you now...you coo and squeal all the time during play time.  I find myself talking to you about anything and everything.  I even talked to you about some things that were frustrating me last night...but of course in a baby voice, so your response of bright eyes and coos were the perfect answer.  I'm praying pretty much all the time that you start liking your car seat more.  Yesterday was the 1st time that you went all day without screaming in it...and you even fell asleep in it after church at lunch.  (We should have taken a picture of it to document it!)  You make us laugh all the time...you get so excited about little things and kick, kick, KICK!  and jump, jump, JUMP!  You kick and jump so hard that you wear yourself out!  You'll go for 30-45 minutes straight and then instantly be tired and want to sleep.  (its a good work out!!)  Here is what you have been up to lately, little Peanut...

Aunt Celine and I went and got pedicures only to come home to find that Grandpa Jim had you in the bathroom sink!!!  Oddly enough, you didnt seem to mind it...

And then, while you napped with Aunt Celine, your cousin Lane and i played for a while...

a few days later, you hung out in your sunday's best...

and then you made mom and dad proud by sporting your beatles gear oh so well!

you then went with us to a 4th of July party for one of daddy's work friends...

and then you just looked so stinkin' cute that i couldnt help but capture it on camera!

Sorry i didnt get your daddy in any of these pictures, Penny.  Next time you guys are hanging out, tell him you want more pics of the 2 of you...tell him you also want more pictures of us as a family.  Ok, you have woken up in your swing now...here i come!!  Love you!
