Penny goes to California!

Last week Penny, my mother and myself packed up our bags and headed to sunny California!  Such a fun trip!  My sister, Dana, and her husband, Jeff made the big move from the big city of San Francisco to a suburb called Walnut Creek.  I LOVE their new house!!!  I always had a fun time in the city but it was so cold all the time!!  What a difference a move away from the bay area makes!  This trip was all about shorts, tank tops and flip flops!  I was nervous to fly with Penny b/c obviously she had never flown before...but she did SOOO good!  I mean, so so good!  The girl didn't cry once, you wouldn't have even known there was a baby on the airplane!  Thank you Lord!

Dana and Jeff have such a nice pool!  It was fun taking Penny in for her 1st dip!  And its also so cute to see Owen and Addison just so comfortable being in the pool!

Thank you Dana and Jeff for inviting us to your new, amazing home!  I'm jealous of your pool!  Dana- you are a wonderful mother!  Thank you for all you have done for Tom, Penny and I.  Cant wait to see you again, hopefully soon!

Lately...

3 months has really brought us excitement! Our little Penny is gaining such a personality and its so fun!  She gives us smiles all the time now and we even got our 1st giggles from her the other night.  She was laughing at herself in the mirror or all things...but hey...you have to just laugh at yourself sometimes!  :)  Penny LOVES to bounce...so we busted out the jump-a-roo a couple weeks ago thinking that she was going to be over the moon about it.  Welllllll...i guess she still have to figure it out yet b/c she sits in it for about 5 minutes and just gets mad.  Fail.  If we bounce it for her, she used to go along with it and enjoy it...but now if we do that, she just makes her legs super straight and refuses.  Double fail.

On Sunday, August 7th, we had Penny dedicated at our church.  Such a special time.  Penny=silent worker. Ray=counselor.  It's wonderful having the whole church congregation pray for your child to grow with Christ in their life.

So when i put Penny to bed at night, i had her completely swaddled up and lying on her back.  I went in the next morning to find her with her arms out and lying on her stomach.  Hmmm...little houdini.

Colorado.

A few weeks back Tom, Penny and I decided to load up the car and head out for our 1st family vacation.  Since Penny is still touch-and-go with her car seat, we decided to embark on our journey to Castle Rock in the middle of the night while Penny slept.  Yes...left our driveway at 12:30 am...the things you do as a parent so your child will sleep.  Turns out the drive out for Penny and I was actually great...i slept a bit...Penny slept a lot.  Woohoo...good girl!  Tom...not so much.  (thanks babe...)  We rolled into Castle rock at about 8 am to my sister Celine and nephews Lane and Gage eating breakfast outside.  We had such a wonderful time on our trip...a few adventures out and about, wonderful weather, no humidity, some downtime and just plan great to see my sister!  (wish you could have been there, Dana!)  I'm crazy b/c i didnt take a whole lot of pictures but here's what i did capture...

Thank you Celine and Vance for letting us stay!! We had a wonderful time!  Next time we will prob drive home at night as well though...it was a little stressful on momma!  How did i not get a single picture of Celine and i together??  Love you!
