6 months...

Dear Penny Ray,
I cant believe it...today you are 6 months old.  This by far was the fastest 6 months of my life and my life has never changed so much in 6 months like it has now.  And it has truly changed for the better...in every way possible.  6 months ago at this time...we were anxiously waiting at the hospital for your arrival.  We thought we knew the kind of journey we were about to embark on...but that journey was and has been way more beautiful than we could ever imagine!
You are such a momma's girl...and i blame that on myself really.  I started out wanting to hold you every minute i could...and now you want to be with me at all times.  You're starting to realize when i've left a room...you'll go from playing on your own, look up to see if i'm there and if i'm not....you'll call for me.  But don't worry, i'm never far away.  But you are also becoming a daddy's girl as well.  You're daddy was worried that when we 1st brought you home, that you didnt like him very much...but now you loooove your daddy.  He can make you giggle way more than i ever can.
You're growing up so fast kiddo.  You're starting to sit up very well on your own.  And you're starting to be able to army crawl across the room pretty good as well.  I love watching you discover new toys.  Your daddy brought home a new toy for you the other day and i feel like i could see your mind figuring it out.  So cute.  You still LOVE to bounce...bounce bounce bounce all the time.  You have some nice strong legs on you!
I just want you to know, Penny Ray, how much we love you.  And not just your mommy and daddy....you have so many others that love you too.  Being a mommy to you is a full time job...getting paid in smiles and giggles is the best pay anyone can ever ask for.  You've got us wrapped around your little finger, i will admit it.  I hope you feel the love we have for you every second of everyday.  I fall more and more in love with you with each day...with each new milestone you achieve, with every eyebrow raise you give,  with each sneeze, every time i compare your hands to mine, every time i put you down for a rest and you just look SO beautiful, and with every toothless grin you give.  I praise God for you every day little girl...i hope you know that.

Love you P,
your mommy

around the house...

Penny and i have been hanging out at home a lot lately.  I guess thats the typical life of a stay at home mom.  It seems that if i go anywhere, i only am tempted to spend money!  Thank goodness my parents live close!  So i would love to say that we have new exciting news to share...but we are just big home-bodies.  Just watching penny play and grow thats for sure!  So beings as i dont really have anything exciting to share...on to the pictures!
Sweet little baby face i love so much!

fell asleep on the couch after dinner...tom and i took advantage of this and ate dinner without any interruptions ourselves! :)

Snuggle time....that only lasts about 2.5 seconds.
