Growin' Girl!

every morning when i go to get penny from her crib, i swear she has grown up more with each sleep. (well, i guess technically she has!)  its simply SO adorable when i open the door to a little smiling face and her little hand is waving at me.  its such a wonderful way to start out my day...it makes me laugh each time.  (granted some mornings, its a little too early for this momma's liking!)  she has started saying things like "ba-ba" and "da-da" and starting to eat way more "adult" food.  tonight's menu consisted of homemade sweet potato mac 'n cheese followed with some cheerios and bananas.  speaking of eating...

it seems the only place i can get a clear picture of penny anymore is in her highchair. i guess its the only place that she isnt being a complete crazy woman!!

 a couple weeks ago, we had a few days of just AMAZING weather!  (60's in january!) we had to head to the park to take advantage of the indian summer!

 this picture pretty much sums up what penny does throughout the day...i vacuum and vacuum and yet she still finds any tiny microfiber to pick from the carpet.

 i know this picture is blurry but it makes me laugh! scares me at the same time!...i think tom and i are in for it when she gets older!

 penny likes to help with the laundry as well.  i actually think she would have taken a nap in there if i wouldnt have gotten her out...she was perfectly content.

Penny turns 9 months in just a few days...where has the time gone?!  time to start planning a 1st birthday party!

this, that and other...

for some reason i'm stuck in a huge "writer's block" about what to write in this post.  i guess i'll get right to the pictures then! (simple enough.)

 Christmas Eve!  This year we actually headed out to my sister, Celine's, house for the holidays.  it was a wonderful trip with beautiful weather...

 Celine and Vance welcomed their 3rd bundle of joy on December 21st...their 1st daughter, Logan Grace.  Isn't she beautiful?!

 we got to hang out with my other sister, dana, on our last day in colorado. being able to hang out for only about 9 or 10 hours in not nearly enough time!
